CLASSES 2021-2022:
Registration is open and rolling. Class sizes limited. First come, first served. Classes need a minimum of three students to run. We will add/alter classes as needed.
Classes vary 45-85 minutes in length.
*Students wishing to join a studio virtually may be accommodated on a class by class basis. Please contact us if you wish to remain virtual this term.
If we have enough students choosing a virtual option we will make an effort to offer a virtual only class.
We often get asked how students can improve their technique:
1. Frequency: The more often we dance the more it becomes part of our muscle memory. Even Professional dancers will enroll in additional fundamental level classes to keep working on technique and keep their muscles dancing. Private lessons and practice at home are also beneficial.
2. Supplemental Technique Classes: Pre-pointe for example targets foot, ankle and core strength while enhancing balance. It’s a great class to prepare students for Pointe even years in advance as well as practice for students already en pointe or students who simply want to improve their Ballet technique with/without Ponite. Stretch Sculpt Stamina has made a huge difference in the strength of our dancers. It’s a combination of Dance and Pilates excerises that improves flexibility, strength and stamina.
3. Ballet: If a student is aiming to improve on their non Ballet dance class we encourage students to also take Ballet. Ballet is a fundamental base for dance technique, poise and musicality. It will absolutely help and if course is wonderful in and of itself.
